I just painted my pumpkin for the Teal Pumpkin Project. Have you heard of it? Its an awareness project centered on providing a safe Halloween for children with allergies and food sensitivities.
The idea is to have a non-food treat available for children trick or treating that might not otherwise be able to participate.
Last year I had both candy and non-candy treats. This year I am doing pencils for everybody. My husband is horrified and is convinced our house will get egged. I'm pretty sure the mom's will be high-fiving me.
For today's technique I'm linking in a site with really cute pumpkin decorating ideas. Check out Jennifer Allwood's at the Magic Brush site. She has some super ideas.
PS What do you think about my pencils for our trick-or- treaters. Is Chuck right, will our house get egged???
