I'm sure you are as shocked as I am about the shooting at Fort Hood Army base. For you long time readers of my blog if you will re-call, I was a flight attendant on a charter flight bringing troops back from Iraq in January 2009. "MY" troops were the 3d Armored Cavalry, the Brave Rifles, based at Fort Hood. The ladies and gents I met on that long flight back were among the most humble, kind, loving and thoughtful Americans I have ever been proud and honored to meet. It was a true pleasure to serve them and to bring them back safely to their loved ones.
My heart and prayers go out to all the family and folks associated with Fort Hood. I pray for love and healing and thank ALL our service men and women. We will never forget your sacrifice to our country.
To all "MY" Brave Rifles you are forever in my heart!
