Okay it's 2012 so it's time to get that closet of yours under control!! I'll give you some tips that should hopefully make this task a little easier. The rule of thumb to keep in mind is to build your wardrobe around your life right NOW. I am going through this myself, as a new mom my days of having drinks with the girls at trendy clubs just don't happen anymore. The same goes for dangling earrings and other jewerly that the baby can tug and pull on.
Seperate your clothes into three piles: keep, donate, take to a re-sale shop.
As you sort keep the following in your mind: Does this flatter me? Did it feel great the last time I wore it? Can I remember the last time I wore it? I know this is hard, I recently took my pagent dress to a re-sale shop, but seriously when am I ever going to wear it again?
Always: Wear what flatters you, no matter your size. With the right clothes a size 8 can look as pulled together as a size 18. Think about about a certain piece makes you feel when you wear it, if it's not good- let it go! Have a go-to outfit. Everyone needs to have an outfit you can grab and dress in a rush when that last minute invitation comes your way.
Never: Buy just because it's on sale!!
