tuesday's technique - adding dimension to stamped images with liquid glass

Today's technique is a really easy one.  Just stamp like normal then add Liquid Glass over the top.  Once it dies it adds a clear glaze and turns a just okay image to something extra special. 

I used the Roar! stamp set and superhero paper collection, all supplies from Close To My Heart.

Here is a easy clip (and makes a inexpensive gift) to make.  

I used the stamp set from the Lucy Workshop on the Go kit for the flower.  The "a note for you" comes from the Just for You stamp set.  The bling in the center of the flower is a button from the Bohemian Assortment with a  Pearl Adhesive Gem  in the button center.  I stamped with Sunny Yellow and Lagoon inks.  This stamp set from the Lucy Workshop kit has a coordinating shape that cuts the flower with the  CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy so I just cut the flowers then stamped with the Sunny Yellow and Lagoon ink.  All supplies except the clothes pin are Close To My Heart products. You could whip these out super fast.  Makes a good teacher gift.

guest artist creation

A lovely card from a lovely lady.  Helen Barnes from Florida is known for her beautiful artwork and this does not dissapoint.  Helen cut out stamped images for added interest and dimension.  She layered flowers and used foam to pop up the flowers.  Some of the flourishes have glitter added for extra texture.  This photo does not do this piece of art justice!  Thank you for sharing your art (and heart) with me.

• Floral B&T Heart Box: 5 1/2" Shift+Font Layer <Heart1> (p. 26)
• Colonial White Cardstock Flower: 1 3/4" Shift <Flower3> (p. 57)
• Colonial White Cardstock Circle: 1/2" <Circle1> (p. 21)
• Colonial White Cardstock Flower: 1 1/4" Shift <Flower7> (p. 39)
• Colonial White Cardstock Tag: 1 1/4" <Tag2> (p. 40)

1/2" × 8" Blush B&T Duos^® Paper
1/2" × 1 1/2" Blush B&T Duos^® Paper (cut 2)

Helpful Hints

1. Cut heart box, flowers, circle, and tag using Cricut^® machine.
2. Stamp sentiment with Pear ink on tag.
3. Stamp large flower image with Blush ink on large flower. Sponge edges with Blush ink.
4. Stamp smaller flower image with Crème Brulee ink on smaller flower.
5. Stamp circle image with Pear ink on circle.
6. Assemble heart box, attach paper, cut-out shapes, and button to heart box.

Here is another card from the My Peeps stamp set.  I am not completely thrilled with the look of it but was pushed for time and just needed to get them done and out in the mail.  I also used the super fun and way cheep LOL (cheap) springs to add fun dimension to my card.  You get 6 Adhesive Springs  for just $2.95  I used the Die cut cards as the card base and the Lucy paper collection.
