So first off, by the way, how do you like my photo prop.  I can't seem to get my scanner to work with my photos right now so have been using my stairs to do my photos.  I should see about using my new carpeting as a business expense!!

Here is a card using the March Stamp of the Month.  This set is only available this month. 

You can make this card for free at the Stamp & Scrap-A Paper Arts Expo on Saturday March 31st.  The expo is at the Hilton Garden Inn.  I'll be there on Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM.  The show is free and the parking is free.  They'll be lots going on like free make & take projects, new product demonstrations, drawings and give-aways.  This show is to replace the Rubberstamp and Scrapbook Expo that was cancelled for the same weekend.  Show inventory was bought specifically for that cancelled show so there is sure to be good deals.

wicked!

The August stamp of the month is wicked!!  I mean that's the name of it, wicked.  But it is pretty wicked.

 
I have been having so much fun with this stamp set.  I am trying to resolve an issue with my computer but when it gets sorted I have loads of artwork I've created with this awesome set.

This bookmark was created with the April Stamp of the Month, Blessed.  This has been a wonderful stamp set to work with.  I gave these as gifts after our daughter's baptism.  This is the perfect set for any occasion with a religious theme. It would also be lovely to use the images for a wedding.

tuesday's technique - resist

Ok ready for a new stamping technique that you won't be able to resist????

 

The resist technique uses the embossing technique and builds on it from there.  Stamp your image with clear embossing powder and heat emboss as usual.  Now all you'll be doing is adding color to your project.  You can either brayer or sponge it on.  I used sponge daubers on mine.  The clear embossed image(s) will "resist" the sponged or brayered on ink.  This will result in a nice two-toned colored project.  In this example I stamped the image on a light colored cardstock (Parchment) and clear embossed.  I lightly sponged on Cocoa ink.  The Cocoa ink filled in around the clear embossed image.  The sponged on ink did not add any additional color, thus the name resist, and remains the original color underneath, while the non-embossed areas take on the sponged on color.
